Pharmaceutical Lead Engineer
required to lead site capital projects from inception to delivery through effective project management ensuring delivery on time and in budget.

The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for multiple projects, accountable for the initiation, design, resource & budget management, and development of project plans for complex projects.

This is a permanent role with a Pharmaceutical company based in Leinster.

Responsibilities of Pharmaceutical Lead Engineer:
Lead and facilitate open discussion across project teams, including cross functional and external parties, in relation to specific designs for mechanical, electrical, safety requirements.
Generate P&ID's for new or modified plant and check and approve P&ID's from others.
Complete equipment spec for complex equipment and execute FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ.
Provides detailed knowledge of environmental control systems and design, function and operation of quality water systems including all components of generation storage and distribution.
Preparation of capital expenditure requests and cost estimates, and monitoring of project spend.
Provide detailed project specifications, drawings, procedures and tender documents.
Manage installation and upgrades to Process Equipment.
Supervision of contractors associated with project work.
Apply scientific and engineering methods and approaches to deliver most effective solutions.
Consult, influence and communicate decisions to site middle and senior management.
Make decisions that support site strategy applying a business mind-set to all decisions without compromising compliance/ legal requirements.
Represent function on cross functional projects/ initiatives

Requirements for Pharmaceutical Lead Engineer:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Relevant Master's degree and/or Chartered Engineer status desirable.
10+ years of relevant engineering experience in a similar role, ideally within the Pharmaceutical Industry.
Proven track record in delivering complex large scale capital projects.
Demonstrated application of scientific and engineering methods and approaches to deliver effective problem solving. Ideally Six Sigma Certification.
Strong leadership, collaborative and communication skills.
Experience dealing with external regulatory bodies.
OSD experience is preferred, ideally with experience in supporting commercial manufacture.
