Job Description
Our client, a Medtech company based in Galway, now seeks a Process Development Manager to provide managerial, leadership, and staff development responsibilities within Development for delivery of NPD / NPIs.
The successful candidate will provide tactical management of multiple process development projects and proprietary technologies. In this role, you will deliver projects and technologies from R&D through scale-up to commercial manufacturing, by managing Process Development team and effectively leading group in delivery of such projects and technologies.
Responsibilities for Process Development Manager:
Leads IBP goals and manages execution of functional deliverables associated with the PDP/TDP projects: examples include, PFMECA, capability analysis, DOE, root cause analysis, scrap analysis, Design Capability Matrix, etc.
Works with other engineering managers, core team members and core team leader to resolve technical issues and meet IBP goals.
Coordinated all activities related to development builds by working with production and logistics group.
Prioritizes and manages execution of multiple department projects.
Works with the six-sigma engineers and lean coordinators to ensure flawless introduction of new products.
Responsible for managing performance of direct reports, project staffing, IBP deliverables and launch deliverables.
Budgetary management of functional area, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations.
Ensure function, team and project compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory bodies..
Requirements for Process Development Manager
Honours Bachelors Degree (NFQ Level 8 qualification) in a relevant STEM discipline.
10 years R&D / process / mechanical engineering experience in highly regulated industry.
Medical technologies / devices industry experience in New Product Development is preferred.
A proven track record in managing professionals with advanced engineering background.
Demonstrated leadership experience in delivery of NPD and NPI projects to through to commercial manufacture.
Strong Stakeholder Management experience, both internal and external groups.
Effective communication experience across large, complex multinational organisation.
