Project Manager, Operational Strategy
required to develop and execute the operational strategy for the site. This role will support the various teams on site to acquire the skills needed to be a drive a continuous improvement culture.

The successful candidate will work closely with both production units and support group, to embed the tools and systems into how we run the business.

Responsibilities of Project Manager, Operational Strategy:
Estimates project levels of effort and resource requirements by using standard estimating techniques and tools, and by working with appropriate staff to understand scope of effort.
Prepares project plans, schedules and budgets by using project management tools such as Microsoft Project and by working with appropriate staff to understand tasks necessary to complete project.
Directs project execution by assigning tasks, tracking project schedules, identifying risks, and developing and executing contingency plans.
Assures project quality by using standard development methodologies and by working with SQA to develop and execute project quality plans.
Communicates project status by preparing standard status reports, and by participating in departmental and customer project status update meetings.
Resolves project issues by working with team members, project customers, and others as appropriate.
Participates in external project management organizations, conferences and seminars to keep current with industry best practices in project management.

Requirements of Project Manager, Operational Strategy:
Honours Degree in Science, Engineering or similar technical field. Masters Degree is advantageous.
Prince II or similar Project Management accreditation is desirable.
5+ years Project Managing experience in manufacturing environment.
Proven operations management experience, with financial and metric management experience.
Proven Project management capability, to develop aspect of assigned projects on time and within budget.
Proven ability to influence colleagues and senior management is highly desirable.
