Our client, a blue-chip multinational healthcare manufacturer based in Galway, now seeks a Quality Lab Manager who will ensure that a team of supervisors, team leads and QC staff perform raw materials, finished products, non-routine and stability testing in accordance with GLP and cGMP.

The successful candidate will ultimately be responsible for lab management, people development, managing various internal and external stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance and functionality of the laboratories.

This hire will exercising functional control of site laboratories such that a compliant, cost-effective and efficient service is provided in line with business needs and customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong people management & development experience. Also, budgetary management and forecasting experience is required.

Requirements of Quality Lab Manager:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related discipline. Additional post graduate qualification i.e. Masters or PhD is preferred.
3+ year's Lab Management experience in FDA regulated environment, ideally with progression to Quality Manager level.
10+ year's laboratory experience, with associated body of experience with all analytical lab equipment and troubleshooting skills.
NPD / NPI experience, including Method development, validation and transfer experience.
Budgetary management experience and strong business acumen.
Strong communication and influencing skills.
