Senior Packaging Operator

Our company is an IP focused pharmaceutical manufacturing and marketing company based out of the United Kingdom. Their primary focus is on the European and Australian markets with a longer-term view towards IP respecting geographies.

They provide a variety of services from IP Licensing to manufacturing to R&D through our UK based facilities or via several global partnerships.

Role Summary

The senior packaging operator is responsible for running the day to day activities on the packaging line ensuring the production plan is followed while meeting Quality and Regulatory compliance requirements of pharmaceutical operations. They are to provide their expertise and guidance in the various areas of packaging.

The senior packaging operator supports projects identifying, assessing and implementing new opportunities / projects through frequent interaction with our manufacturing facility. They will assist in the factory and site acceptance testing along with process validation.

Responsibilities

Health & Safety - To ensure that a safe working environment is maintained for all employees in the operation and that as a minimum the operation meets the standards set out in the Group Health & Safety policy. encourage the team to improve Health and Safety.
Quality Standards - To lead and drive standards of quality, Good Documentation, hygiene and housekeeping within the area through Good Manufacturing Practice (G.M.P.) to ensure that both Business and customer standards are kept and audit requirements are fully met.
Performance Management - To appropriately monitor the performance of all team members through the use of performance management systems (i.e. appraisal)
Training & Development - To actively coach, develop and train team members to the required level of competence.
Continuous improvement - To actively adopt a continuous improvement environment.
Performance Improvement through use of KPIs - monitor KPI's that are in place to ensure that the team delivers on agreed KPIs. Assist in the PDPs for all team members.
Resource Management - To organise labour and material requirements within their respective areas.
Communication - To communicate daily with their superiors to report KPI's and any health and safety issues
Recruitment - May, in the future, be involved in the recruitment process
Employee Relations - Supports and encourages the company values and a positive culture within their area, whilst fostering good employee relations through fair, consistent and effective people management.
Engineering - Work with engineering sections to ensure equipment is used under the necessary certificates of validation, calibration and maintenance. Liaise with the engineering department to ensure any planned maintenance is carried out in a timely manner.

Required Skills
? Experience in Packaging operations for Medical Device Manufacturing, pharmaceutical or related industry - Blister packaging essential.
? Highly polished written and verbal communication skills.
? Results oriented and a strong customer focus.
? Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills.
? A strong understanding of all technical and manufacturing aspects relating to the manifesting process.
? Strong Man-management skills

Additional Experience/ Requirements
? Able to travel to perform factory acceptance testing in India and Germany
