Senior Production Supervisor
Our client, a large multinational blue chip healthcare manufacturing company based in Cork now wishes to recruit a Senior Production Supervisor for their fast paced GMP manufacturing environment.


The successful candidate will take ownership in providing team leadership to the production group committed to increased quality and productivity.


Previous production / manufacturing line management experience within a high paced highly regulated environment is essential.


Responsibilities of Senior Production Supervisor:
Implements a staffing plan by identifying resource requirements, writing justifications for additional personnel, obtaining approval for changes, and coordinating the selection process with Human Resources.
Develops direct reports by securing appropriate training, assigning progressively challenging tasks, applying appropriate formal written and verbal performance reviews.
Monitors daily work operations and provides direction to predominantly nonexempt and entry level staff to achieve unit or departmental goals.
Interacts with internal and external customers.
Interprets and executes policies that affect individuals within the assigned organisational unit or department.
Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures
Develops work schedules for department by assessing priorities, workload and available resources.
Maintains personnel records and makes or directs modifications in the database to reflect changes.


Requirements for Senior Production Supervisor:
Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Science, Engineering or similar technical discipline.
6+ years? experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 4 years supervisory experience.
Proven experience in working within a similar role in a fast paced manufacturing environment, ideally a GMP environment.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is highly desirable.
