required develop and execute optimal Procurement & Sourcing strategies through the selection, development and management of supplier relationships to achieve competitive advantage and cost reductions, including the procurement of indirect spend in Ireland and across Europe.
This role will be based in either Galway or Cork, in Ireland.
This successful hire will drive procurement/supplier initiatives to meet overall supply requirements whilst implementing sustainable cost reduction & service improvements within EMEA region.
Scope of this role: lead Sourcing initiatives for Travel, Consulting, Facilities, R&D, Sales & Marketing, HR, MRO and other areas of Indirect Spend.
Responsibilities of ? Strategic Indirect Procurement & Sourcing Specialist - EMEA region:
Drive sourcing best practices and leverage across our Indirect Spend
Develop and execute measurement tools to accurately gauge supplier performance (quality, delivery, etc.).
Develop Annual Sourcing Business Plans that will reflect year-over-year cost reductions, quality enhancements and overall continuous improvement.
Negotiates contracts with suppliers and facilitate legal support.
Ensures contracts meets requirements and timing of internal stakeholders.
Aligning Suppliers strategies with Plant & Corporate objectives and targets.
Drive the highest level of compliance, customer satisfaction at an optimum cost.
Communicating via; data, metrics, reports, relationship building - both internally and externally.
Develop and maintain supplier performance review metrics & scorecards
Tracks Cost Savings and Cost Avoidance performance from supplier negotiations.
Requirements of Strategic Indirect Procurement & Sourcing Specialist - EMEA region:
Must have an honours Bachelors Degree (level 8) in Business or similar discipline. Additional APICS qualification is desirable.
7+ years' relevant experience in a strategic Procurement (Sourcing) and Supplier Relationship Management Proven experience of MRP systems preferably SAP experience.
Proven MS Office skills, to generate; documents, spreadsheets, graphs, presentations, project schedules.
Strong analytical skills to aide quantitative decision making.
Ability to effectively present projects, status, etc. to all levels including directors & site management.
Proven understanding of legal agreements.
