Our client, a healthcare manufacturing company based in Cork who are undergoing rapid expansion, now seeks an experienced Supplier Quality Specialist who will act an Incoming Quality representative with vendors on all incoming materials.
The successful candidate will manage supplier selection and evaluation, material qualification, supplier performance and receiving inspection. Ideal candidate will identify and drive quality improvements through project management initiatives.
Responsibilities for Supplier Quality Engineer:
Liaise with cross-functional departments internal to the site as well as corporate Subject Matter Experts.
Coordination and resolution of supplier related material non-conformances / quality issues..
Support problem solving / root causing initiatives at both teh company and Supplier sites.
Ensure changes at suppliers are adequately assessed, controlled and implemented
Oversee Material Qualification / First Article process.
Support within new product development, operational, or system/services support.
Provides focused quality engineering support within new product development, operational, or system/services support.
Provides engineering guidance to inspection area, including statistical analysis, measurement techniques and documentation.
Assesses supplier capabilities through direct visits, technical discussions and quality system audits.
Requirements for Supplier Quality Engineer:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or Quality Assurance (minimum HETAC level 8).
3+ years' experience in an Engineering / Quality role in a Health Care environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good leadership abilities.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Certified Quality Auditor is highly desirable.
