Supply Chain Specialist, Pharma
Our client, a blue-chip multinational pharma company, now seeks a Supply Chain Specialist who will operate as part of their virtual supply chain team; between Customers, inter-company and CMO sites on behalf of the company, in accordance with GDP.
The successful candidate will liaise with with Global Procurement and Supplier Relationship Mangers to secure regulatory starting materials from CMO’s in line with plan. Additionally the hire will plan the production schedule at key CMO manufacturing sites in conjunction with supply chain at the CMO.
Responsibilities of Supply Chain Specialist:
Plan regulatory starting material date and quantity requirements from CMO’s to support key & growth manufacturing schedules
Resolve any discrepancies or shortfalls in quantity & timing of material deliveries.
Prepare and issue forecasts to CMO’s in line with agreed or contracted forecast requirements.
Maintain purchase requisitions and purchase orders on SAP in line with plans.
Link with internal and external API sites to ensure all material requirements are met in a timely manner.
Link with internal and external API site to ensure deliveries to Drug Product sites are executed in line with plan
Receipt and process of supplier invoices and follow up on prices discrepancies, payment queries
Issue required shipping documents & liaise with freight forwarders and internal stakeholders as required
Prepare Budget, manufacturing and shipping volumes for assigned CMO’s.
Present CMO manufacturing demand vs supply volumes and potential issues at S&OP monthly meetings.
Ensure SC metrics are maintained and reported monthly for assigned CMO’s.
Requirements for Supply Chain Specialist:
Candidates will have a minimum Diploma qualification in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering. 4+ years’ experience in Supply Chain, the majority of which in the Pharmaceutical industry.
Ability to create and maintain CMO production plans in a virtual environment
Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence planning decisions at CMO’s
Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines
A detailed knowledge of SAP supply chain functionality
Knowledge of customer service standards, order processing and invoicing
