Job Description
Due to continued expansion of their operations our client a well-established and growing Warehousing and Distribution Company now seek a New Product Development Technical Manager.
The NPD Technical Manager will be in control of managing NPD & Technical team in Dublin and working closely with supplier managers based abroad - in Europe and Asia
This is a permanent role in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities of Technical Manager - NPD :
? NPD & Evaluation of potential and existing supplier products and proposals.
? Handling supplier technical documentation, customer questionnaires and specifications.
? Liaising with key customer and supplier NPD & Technical personnel.
? Managing projects from concept to launch.
? Working with packaging and artwork design
? Supporting purchasing function in developing/approving new or existing suppliers
? Managing customer complaints and auditable company Quality Management System
? Implementing Quality Standards for new products
? Working with suppliers in various countries in Europe and worldwide to ensure compliance and in the development of labels, packaging and specifications for new and existing products.
? Working with artwork designers to coordinate new packaging development
? Supporting sales team in presentations, product sampling and responding to customer product requests
? Leading projects aimed at launching new ranges and/or challenging suppliers to innovate or improve current ranges
Requirements of the Technical Manager - NPD :
? Educated to degree level in Food Science discipline
? Excellent knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice(GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
? 5/6 years Manufacturing experience with min 2/3 managerial experience
? Ability to travel Europe about 4 days a month
? Fast thinker and good team player with strong organisational skills.
