Gerry Kennedy Managing Director, Recruitment for Technology Ltd
is an experienced recruiter for the technology sector and the founder of Recruitment for Technology (RFT) Ltd (www.rft.ie) which has a leadership position in Ireland in recruiting for the international science sector in research, commercialisation and technology transfer. The company maintains close links with emerging life science companies and has been a lead sponsor of BioConnect Ireland in recent years. Gerry works extensively with Irish universities, and with state agencies involved in promotion of research and technology development.
Recent executive search projects include Director of the Central Technology Transfer Office, and Divisional manager for Research and Innovation Commercialisation in Enterprise Ireland. Gerry has also recruited staff for many Irish universities, including executives for NovaUCD, UL and NUIG. He has also been involved in national surveys of technical skill requirements in various bio ‐sectors, including a Survey of Technical Skills in diagnostics companies (2005‐2010).
Prior to involvement of recruitment, Gerry has experience in the Pharma and Chemical industry as commercial manager for DuPont Merck Pharma in UK & Ireland (1980 ‐1994) and as the founder of the specialist chemical company Gait International in 1994.
